Do the Right Thing!

There has been much in the news about the Malaysian jumbo jet that went missing with so many lives aboard and yet, months later it seems we have forgotten and have moved onto the next headline.  However, I still wonder about that missing flight. I wonder if they will ever be found.  I wonder if the family will ever find peace in this situation or closure to allow them to move on, like we so casually have.  I wonder if the one responsible will ever be brought to justice and whether they considered the brokenness and hurt they have administered to so many families.  While I am disconcerted about flight MH370 another atrocity has swept through our news report and it is that of the 234 girls kidnapped in one swoop.

How could this happen? To what intent have those girls been stripped of their security and only God knows what else.  Why is it that men are seemingly bent on not simply hurting one or two any longer, but seem set to cause as wide an impact as they possibly can.

As the airwaves, social media and even the White House echo the chant "bring back our girls", the painful phrase that has fallen from the lips of those mothers who are in turmoil about the well being and lives of their young daughters, I once again begin to wonder; what wickedness is this that is sweeping the across the land?   Life goes on for some, but for many things will never be the same.  For the act of ripping a child from the secure grip and hold of its mother or father is enough to cause psychological and mental trauma .  I pray those girls will never stop crying, take us home to our mothers, until their kidnappers grow weary of the cry and release them.

The most daunthing thing is, with each of these cases, careful planning and team work is needed to wreak such avoc, this cannot be the work of any one man.  Therefore, there are people out there who knows all too well in both cases what has happened; but they seem to have shut up their bowels of compassion, as families in both cases wail in anguish and plead to the authorities to help, to do more and not to stop until there are satisfactory results.  I plead to those who know - speak up, do what is right - help a mother a father, a brother, a sister, a friend, a relative to heal and celebrate the safe return of their girls.  Do the right thing and turn from that wickedness that has gripped so many.

Often we can be limited by our natural sight, even to the detriment of realising our vision. It is indeed a true loss to have sight yet lack vision.
